RVA Community Fridges

Community Fridge Network

A mutual aid network of 14 free community fridges across Richmond — free food, 24/7, no questions asked.

RVA Community Fridges (RVA-CF) is a mutual aid initiative combatting food insecurity in the Richmond, Virginia area. There are 14 fridges across the city, each providing 24/7 access to food. Anyone can use a fridge at any time of day, without permission. Making, delivering, and taking food is always free. The network is backed by RVACF Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and runs weekly volunteer cook days at Matchbox Mutual Aid. Prepared meal donations must be labeled with ingredients, the date packaged, an expiration date, and any allergens; raw meat and fish are not accepted.
